Window decoration for your living room.
You do not always use your living room in the same way. Consider watching, working, relaxing, and moving around alongside one another before you make a choice.
Mapping daily use
Think through an ordinary day. Where do you sit with your coffee, where do you work, and where do you watch television in the evening? Map those spots against your windows. That way, the choice begins with the room you actually use, not just a single colour.
Sightlines and overlooking
The view from outside can vary from window to window. A window facing the street may call for something different from a window facing the garden. Tell us which sightline you wish to limit and which you prefer to keep open. Discuss natural light and privacy as separate requirements.
Light at different times
View the same samples in the morning, afternoon and evening. Indoor lighting can change the privacy question. If you want light whilst working or less reflection near a screen, describe those moments; a general product image does not demonstrate that result.
Access and operation.
A walkway to the balcony or garden must remain usable. Consider the open fabric or stack and the accessibility of the controls. The seating area, furniture, and radiator all form part of that assessment.
Good to know
Where am I sitting and who can look in?
Please mark the seating area and any relevant sightlines on a photo or floor plan. We will use this as the basis for our comparison.
Which windows do I use frequently?
Tell us which windows and doors are opened daily and which are used only for ventilation.
What do I want to be able to close in the evening?
Describe your evening requirements with the lights on. A more opaque layer can be discussed if the fitting allows.
We'll measure up for that.
Tell us about your window and your wishes. We will agree on the date and specification together.
